Going between Death Valley and Rocky Mountain National Park this summer, I followed Interstate 70 across Utah between Interstate 15 and the Colorado border. Eastbound the weather was marginal to say the least which kept some of the sparkle out of my photographs. The westbound trip, however, had excellent weather. This part of Utah is definitely deserrt terrain, but beautiful and quite a contrast with the Rockies in Colorado. This combination makes traveling I-70 from Denver to the junction with I-15 in Utah one great scenic trip.
