OREGON COUNTRY RAILROADING
OREGON COUNTRY RAILROADING
This album will be a record of my first foray into the Pacific Northwest. Never having been in this part of the USA before, I will be exploring both scenery and railroading for the first time. My base of operations is Crater Lake National Park where I am employed from mid-May until mid-October. While I hope to make a few more distant trips, my employment will limit most of my travel to the southwestern portions of Oregon.

First Encounter

After traveling along the Pacific Coast and visiting Redwoods National Park, I headed inland for Crater Lake. My first sight of anything relating to railroading in Oregon was this de-commisioned McCloud River caboose along the highway in Obrien.
