DEATH VALLEY, A SECOND SEASON
It can be difficult to explain how a person might develop a liking for a landscape so obviously barren as Death Valley. But this rugged terrain bathed in changing light creates a unique sight of colors, shadow, and forms. While I would not chose to spend the entire rest of my life in this desert, I do have an appreciation for it. These are the photos as I continue to explore Death Valley for a second winter.

Towne Pass 
 
Towne Pass provides access to Death Valley from the west. The mountains in this area are volcanic in origin and provide plenty of color.
